We believe that furniture is more than just wood and glue.

It’s about the memories you create while sitting around the dinner table, reading under the warm glow of a lamp, or maxing out your speakers during your next 80s theme party.

Good furniture might make a nice social media post. Great furniture should inspire you to make memories–today, and 50 years from now.

Our Values

Be good to our planet

Each piece is built from sustainably harvested North American hardwoods, finished with food-safe oil and wax, and free of toxic chemicals.

Quality above all else

We guarantee the quality of our craftsmanship and materials for a lifetime. If there is any defect in our craftsmanship we'll make it right.

Always be better

We live by the ethos of continuous improvement, and constantly strive to hone our craft.

Build it here.

We believe furniture can be made sustainably here in the USA. Each piece is designed, crafted, and finished in our Colorado studio.

Have fun

My grandfather once said “they don’t call it work for nothing.” We here at Lundy are on a lifelong quest to prove him wrong.

Our Story

Michael Sagan

Owner & Founder

Dennis Mulherin

Co-founder & Head of Production

Founder Mike Sagan has craftmanship in his bones. His grandfather Amos was a traditional cabinet maker in the early 20th century, and Mike wasn’t even ten years old when his mom taught him to use a radial arm saw for the first time. After spending years working in operational and product development roles in the tech industry, Mike felt pulled to pursue his passion in furniture and launched Lundy.

Dennis started building furniture when he was barely twelve years young. He studied the humanities as an undergraduate before formalizing his education in furniture at the renowned North Bennet Street School. After graduating, Dennis went on to become a journeyman, gaining experience in the shops of established furniture designers and restorers around New England. His commitment to tradition is matched with an eagerness for evolution in the furniture industry, ensuring Lundy craftmanship will lead to the creation of pieces that will become heirlooms for generations to come.

Our focus on sustainability

Sustainability is more than a buzzword. It’s a belief that we have a duty to do right by our planet. At Lundy, our approach to sustainability is baked into each piece we create:

  • Exclusive use of sustainably harvested, FSC-certified hardwoods.
  • Local production and sourcing domesic lumber minimizes our carbon footprint (relative to overseas shipping practices).
  • We use only food-safe oil finishes (not only do we believe this is best for customers’ homes, but frankly I don’t want my team to breathe toxic chemicals either).
  • Furniture built to last a generations won't end up in the landfill.
